    @giovannicolombomi2 However, even big ridiculous SUVs have crumple zones whereas the big block of who knows what that is taking the place of an SUV in the side crash test does not have one. I take it that the smooth floor is meant to compensate for the block’s lack of a crumple zone. There is a huge difference between hitting something solid in a car and something relatively squishy (like another vehicle)

    @giovannicolombomi2 Ive seen someone get T boned, you would be surprised how much a car can get thrown sideways by a speeding SUV. However, I completely agree that the crash test rating system is rather unrealistic in a lot of ways to make people feel better. Nissan Altimas get nice crash test ratings, but they give me the impression of an aluminum can. A cheap aluminum can at that… I’d rather be in my Audi during a wreck than an equally rated Altima any day.

    @pimpaloidas Dude 01-04 Audi A4 B6 is a different model from 04-08 its Audi A4 B7. They have similarities suspension vise etc. but they are completley dofferent models and suspesnion parts like bushings and arms would not fot from a B7 to B6. Pries komentuodamas pasidomek ;) .

  5. 100KA says:

    B7 side B6 Front ????CHANGE TITLE .. before u get LOTS OF DISLIKES LOL

  6. DonShakah says:

    well, i think the brilliance-cars are a lot safer :=)

  7. giovannicolombomi2 says:

    This is NOT a real incident.

    The floor is SMOOTH and permit to the car to slide easily dissipating more energy then if it was asphalt as it is in the streets.

    They use a smooth floor to give you an idea of higher idea of safety on the one you would have on streets.

    Why they use a smooth SLIDING floor instead asphalt ad it is on the asphalt?

    IF YOU THINK LIKE ME….THUMB UP!

  8. wuharrharr says:

    @pimpaloidas wrong! its not the same car underneath the body. main safety improvements for a crash like that from model b6 to b7 is the improved airbag control software and the 2 stage driver/passenger airbag. other than that, the suspension, brakes and steering has been changed compared to the b6. additionally the dimenstions of the whole car and the wheelbase is different. its not much, but it matters in a comparison like that…

  9. pimpaloidas says:

    @wuharrharr you are wrong a4 2004 and a4 2007 is the same car only a facelift the inside is 1:1 only the lights are different and bumpers also the new one has new motors 3.2 and 2.0t but the cars is the same as the old one

  10. cokefan3 says:

    This makes the airbags seem inviting and comfortable…. i dunno…

  11. MarkMck1994 says:

    @Hunne0815 I wasn’t Lying, Thats What I was told, Lmao, So It was actually A person I Know’s fault :P

  12. Hunne0815 says:

    @MarkMck1994 That is wrong. You’re lying.
    Quote: “After testing the new Audi A4 for passive crash safety, the Euro NCAP consortium awarded the vehicle five stars, the highest rating possible. The results achieved by the new Audi A4 for adult protection in frontal and side crashes as well as child and pedestrian protection make it one of the safest vehicles in its class.”

  17. ArmAudi says:

    very best!!!!!

  18. MarkMck1994 says:

    Hahahaha! The New A4 only got 2 / 5 Stars by E – NCAP

  19. kawasaki6402 says:

    the b7 is a completely different model the b6 has a 1.8 the b7 has a 2.0 it goes way beyond a face lift, because it isn’t a face lift…

  20. AetiusPraetorian says:

    Actually the B7 is almost (almost) a total redesign over the B6. There are so many technical as well as safety improvements over the B6 it cannot be simply defined as a normal “facelift”. And Audi also owns or is partners with…VW, Porsche, Lamborgini, Seat, and Skoda. There are probably more.

  21. xronisxronis says:

    @wuharrharr search it on google..
    Besides i OWN a b7..

  22. wuharrharr says:

    @xronisxronis thats not correct – look it up. if the car shown in the side impact crash would be a facelift of the b6, its internal modellabel would still be b6. but it isnt, its not the same floor assembly and not the same wheelbase so technically its a newer model, which declares it as the b7… greets

  23. xronisxronis says:

    @wuharrharr u r wrong..
    b7 is facelift of b6 but its improved in side crashes(and other)

  24. Rdk3000 says:

    @Faceoff1984 Yes, I understand exactly what you mean. BMW analogy haha.

  25. Faceoff1984 says:

    @Rdk3000
    each manufacturer tries their best as Audi does too… i just wanted to say the fact that todays Audi slogan wasnt theirs in the 80′s – most ppl dont know that… just like 70% of owners of Bmw 1 dont know is the car front wheel drive or rear…
